Spring Conferences + Course Updates

Conferences
Spring conferences are scheduled to take place on Monday, February 10th, and Thursday, February 13th. This is by appointment only and due to these being student-led, your student is required to accompany you during your scheduled time slot. Conferences will take place within our Team Legacy spaces. Please use the link and code below to schedule your conference appointment.

If your family is unable to attend, please let us know and we will make arrangements to send your student's portfolio home to walk through the material and gain a parent/guardian signature to let us know they had a successful conference with you.

Science:
Students should be done with their Build-a-Beast projects by tomorrow, Tuesday, February 4th. Conferencing will take place this week to provide students feedback and a chance to make adjustments and/or additions to get to level 4. Projects, rubrics, and reflection forms will all be included in their spring conference portfolios.

Following Build-a-Beast, students will work through artificial selection for learning target #3. This includes exploring gene therapy, animal husbandry, and genetically modified organisms (GMOs). Learning target #3 learning tasks and check #3 are due on Tuesday, February 11th.

Social Studies:
We are wrapping up our show project on Andrew Jackson and his policy! Right now, students are making "Comic Book Covets" that highlight both the good and the bad of Andrew Jackson. They will be showing these off as an artifact at conferences! These are due Wednesday, 2/5 - we will be doing a unit recap/quiz of some sorts on Wednesday, 2/5!
