Early-March Update

 Here are course updates for Team Legacy's core classes:

ELA: 

Students have begun their final argumentative essay. This week, they should have their topic selected, articles annotated and synthesized, and body paragraphs written. They will finish the essay next week and conference with Ms. Luci and Mrs. Lindmeier if they choose. To be able to conference students will need to have all parts of the assignment completed and submitted by Wednesday, March 12th. Below is the schedule that was shared with learners and that can be found in the Unit 3 folder in Schoology.

Math: 

Learners are finishing the last lesson of Chapter 7 this week. The Section 3 quiz on material covered this week will be on Monday, March 10th. The Chapter 7 test will be on Wednesday, March 12th. Below is the pacing schedule and assigned problems for this week: 

3/3    Lesson 7.3.1    HW: 7-73 through 7-77 (pages 40-41)

3/4    Lesson 7.3.2    HW: 7-80 through 7-83, 7-85 (pages 44-45)

Retakes for any standard being assessed in Quarter 3 are going to be available next week (3/10-3/13). Learners need to communicate with Ms. Bruer if they would like to take this opportunity. Their current scores are found on PowerSchool, however, they may change based on their quiz and test performance next week, so please check again before March 14th. 

Science:

Students are finishing the learning portion of our Biological Evolution unit with Fossil Evidence (LT #3) tasks and check #3 due on Wednesday, March 5th. We walked through the choices for their unit show project today in class, which are shown below:

Social Studies:

Learners will begin working on their trifold projects for next Thursday's (the 13th) Gallery Walk this week. They have been reminded of expectations, requirements, and all the things in between – students who are not assisting their group members/meeting expectations may complete an alternative project 😊 Trifolds were provided by some generous donors – extra supplies that your learner may want to add will need to be provided by the family. The school is providing art supplies😊 We hope to see you on the 13th at 9:05!
