Mid-February Updates

Thank you so much to the lovely Team Legacy families that came for Student-Led Conferences! Reminder to those doing at-home conferences with their learner to please send their Hawk Time educator an email once they have successfully walked through their portfolio with you. We are so proud of the work that they have put in and hope that we can continue to hold the bar high for our learners! Here are the course updates as we continue working through quarter 3: ELA: Students will be working through body paragraphs for argumentative essays. They will practice writing a body paragraph as a class, as well as two body paragraphs supporting the claim of their chosen practice topic. Topics include: Should video games be considered a sport?, Should plastic bottles or straws be banned?, Are zoos helpful or harmful to animals?, or Is binge-watching healthy? They will also begin working on writing and refuting counterclaims. Students will practice refuting using given topics and sentence starters. ...

Spring Conferences + Course Updates

Conferences Spring conferences are scheduled to take place on Monday, February 10 th , and Thursday, February 13 th . This is  by appointment only  and due to these being student-led,  your student is required to accompany you  during your scheduled time slot. Conferences will take place within our Team Legacy spaces.
